Who We Are

John and Nancy Schlosser came from teaching careers in the Boston area and started wilderness education programs in the Concord, NH area. In 1976, the Schlossers created Norsk Cross Country Ski Center at the Lake Sunapee Country Club in New London, NH. After operating this successful venue for 24 years, they sold the business in August of 2000.

In the summer of 1996, the Schlossers ventured into guided summer kayaking trips on the Blackwater River. Interest in the sport grew and eventually John and Nancy opened a rental/retail operation in 1998.

After 7 years at Bullfrog Junction (4A & 11) in Andover  Kayak Country Paddlesports has relocated to 27 Kearsarge Rd. at the JCT. of Rts. 11 & Kearsarge Valley Rd.  The Blackwater River , . Pleasant Lake and Lake Sunapee will be our playground for our rentals and retail operation, as well as guided paddle excursions..

John and Nancy have been teaching Hatha Yoga since 1973. Since 1986 they have led yoga programs in Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Costa Rica and other locations in the Caribbean. The Pine Hill Yoga Center at Pine Hill Rd. in Wilmot Flat, opened in 2004. Find us at www.pinehillyoga.com 

Finally John helps lead the Pine Hill Nordic Ski Club in New London.  The Club is a local nordic trails network that grooms and maintains 20 km. of ski trails for its members.  www.pinehillskiclub.com
